About us
Citizens Advice in North & West Kent (also known as CANWK), is the local Citizens Advice in Tunbridge Wells & District. We are an independent charity and affiliated with the Citizens Advice network across England and Wales.
We provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to help people overcome the problems they face. Our specialist advice areas include debt, employment, housing and immigration advice.
Complimentary to our core and specialist advice, we also provide additional support services to help people locally, such as through scams awareness, energy talks and advice, budgeting support and digital skills training.
Our services help people who live and work across North & West Kent. Our six offices are located in Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge & Malling, Sevenoaks, Swanley, Dartford and Gravesend.

In 2022, we helped over 15,000 people gain access to key information and advice. In total, they received over £1,600,000 additional income as a result of our support.
To meet demand for our services, we are actively recruiting for multiple Volunteer Advisers to work from our Tunbridge Wells office (Monday to Friday) and Cranbrook outreach (Wednesdays only).
You will be providing free information and advice over the telephone and face to face to local people across North & West Kent.

• have excellent verbal and communication skills
• be a good listener
• have good digital skills (proven ability to e.g. use Microsoft applications – MS Word, email) for researching information and case recording
